What do you think would Bholenath’s reaction be if he knew that the animal huddled in the dark was actually a tiger? ( ভোলেনাথ যদি জানতো যে অন্ধকারে গুটিসুটি মেরে বসে থাকা জন্তুটি আসলে একটি বাঘ তাহলে তার প্রতিক্রিয়া কি হতো বলে তুমি মনে করো )

 Ans – If Bholenath had known that the animal huddled in the dark was actually a tiger, he would not have come close to the tiger in fear and would have run away.

Ans – Bholenath brought the tiger home because in the dark he thought the tiger to be his lazy donkey.

b ) What made the neighbours come running out of their huts? ( কেন প্রতিবেশীরা দৌড়ে ঘর থেকে বেরিয়ে এসেছিল ) 

Ans – As Bholenath’s wife screamed in fear discovering the tiger, the neighbours came running out of their huts.

c ) Why were the villagers relieved? ( গ্রামবাসীরা কেন স্বস্তি পেয়েছিল ) 

Ans – The villagers were relieved because the tiger ran away to the jungle.

d ) How did the king reward Bholenath for his bravery? ( কিভাবে রাজা ভোলেনাথ কে তার সাহসিকতার জন্য পুরস্কৃত করেছিলেন ) 

Ans – The king rewarded Bholenath by making him the Commander-in-chief of the king’s army. He was also given a huge house to live in.

Ans – To overcome his trouble, Bholenath’s wife tied him to the horse so that he would not fall from the horse’s back.

c ) What made the enemy soldiers greatly scared? ( কেন শত্রু সৈন্যরা প্রচন্ড ভয় পেয়ে গিয়েছিল ) 

Ans – When the enemy soldiers saw a wild-looking man tied to a fierce stallion, waving branches excitedly and shouting loudly, they took him to be a great soldier and were scared.

Ans – Bholenath could not truly be called a legendary character. Actually, he was a coward. His luck made him a hero.

Caught in a Storm

One day I was returning from my aunt’s place. My house was far from my aunt’s house. Suddenly the sky darkened with clouds. I was frightened as there was no one with me. Then the wild wind came with rain. I started to run in great fear. When I finally reached home, I gave a sigh of relief.  This is the first-time experience in my life.

Suppose you are Rima. Your grandfather is Raghunath Jha. Write a short paragraph in about six sentences about your family. 

Ans – I am Rima. Raghunath Jha is my grandfather and Banidebi Jha is my grandmother. My parents are Sundarlal and Rajani. Ramu is my brother. We are students and we go to school together. Sabita, a potter, is my aunt and Birendralal, a postman, is my uncle. They have only one son named Damu who is a college student.
